Cylinder head Machining

Cylinder head machining is the process of removing material from the cylinder head (or the surface of the block where the heads meet the block) to make the combustion chambers smaller.

Machining is also called Milling, What does it mean to mill a cylinder head?
Milling involves removing material from the cylinder head (or block deck surface where the heads and block meet) to effectively reduce the volume of the combustion chambers.

Cylinder Boring and Honing

Boring the cylinders of an engine is an important part of rebuilding an engine and a cheap way to fix damaged or worn-out cylinders in engine blocks. This is true whether you have a motorcycle, an outboard engine, a powersport vehicle, or an ATV. If done right, the process literally brings your engine block back to factory specs (or larger if you use a “big-bore” kit), giving you tight tolerances, more horsepower, and better compression for a fraction of the cost of a new engine or powerhead in most cases.

Cylinder Boring

Cylinder boring is machining used to enlarge the diameter of the cylinders in an engine block.  The primary purpose of cylinder boring is to restore the cylinder bores to a precise and uniform diameter. Or it can also be used for increased performance or specific applications.

Cylinder power honing is a machining process used to improve the surface finish and size consistency of the cylinders in an engine block to ensure optimal performance, sealing, and longevity of the engine.

Valve Grinding

Valve grinding can ensure valves and seals work well. It makes the engine valves smoother to seal the valve seat in the cylinder head and close off the combustion chamber.
